Has anyone here ever had their water pump gauge needle jump the dang post inside the glass, the needle on my water gauge has some how gotten on the other side of the post and it is slapping up against the post and has knocked all of the paint off the end of the arm. I know this sounds crazy but it happened, i can see the water pressure gauge is still working but can't figure out how to get the arm back on the other side of the post where it's supposed to be. I am installing a new Lowrance in-dash and while i have the old fish finder out i pulled the water pressure gauge out to see if i can get in behind the lens to move the arm but it's inclosed and can't be done. Anyone know a trick for this? Or do i have to buy a new water pressure gauge? Thanks-Mo ;D

Keith, I would say it is busted. Usually happens during hard freezes. I had to replace mine this winter. I got one that was better than the original and life time warrnty. You have done the hard part getting to it. I would recommend putting a pull tie or something on it to help it seal and not leak.

Keith if you replace it and keep it outside,, put you a drain valve in the hose and drain the water out of it to keep it from freezing in the winter.
