Mike if you are in a part of town near Jerseys, I would reccomend trying a few places in towne lake. Bar B Cutie and Family Tradition that are both in the Publix parking lot at Rose Creek and then across the street a place called Donovans Irish Cobbler, a buddy of mine actually owns the place but it is great food!

Donovans has sandwiches, burgers, pub type food, GREAT chicken wings (and beer!) Here is a link to their website so you can check out their menu donovansirishcobbler.com/index.php and Family Tradition is all country style food, all of your home cooking type stuff and it is all excellent!! I live right by the little river ramp. The place at Victoria changed ownership over the winter and just opened up a few weeks ago and I have not yet tried it so not real sure what is on the menu there but I live so close to it that I may be trying it some time soon. And then of course you have Little River Grill but the few times I have eaten there it really hasn't been all that great to me...

Mike, hey almost neighbor, Family Traditions great for breakfast and lunch. JD's BBQ at times is very good, and sometimes just ok, but not bad overall. Have not been to Victoria since they changed the owners and name but will go and check it out for you. Little River is not bad, pretty crowded and noisy at times but a beer in me and I can handle the noise. On Towne lake toward 575 you have all the franchises. I do the senior deal at Captain D on Wednesday for country style catfish platter which I like and the senior price is on 4 bucks and change. Drop by my dock if you are in the Kellogg area and I will show you some trees nearby.

Thanks Harry. Leslie will appreciate that and treat you well. Little River's food is very average, especially for the price. Over at Victoria i don't know if it's still called Props & Hops but when i ate there it was the worst Prime Rib i have ever had but the catfish was very good the next time i ate there.

Mo, it changed names and owners over the winter and is no longer Prop & Hops but I agree, the couple of times I did eat when it was Props & Hops wasn't all that great... Convenient place on the water though to get a quick bite and a cold one!

Yep Jason it is convenient and that's why i'll go back as well, same with Little River, i'll go back there too, it's pretty gratifying to catch some fish and be able to have lunch right on the lake then go back to catchin' em again ;D. I wish they had a Cracker Barrel right on the lake ;D. I like Carters Lake Marina they serve a great lunch for less then 5.00.
