I think it would be a good idea if you could do it in white or gray. The only thing is that it would add some weight. If you do it make sure you prep the surface very well. It needs to be roughed up and super clean.

A buddy of mine did that to a Pro-Craft out in Texas. The trick was getting the right amount on the doors and hatches. It turned out looking really good, but was heavier than he thought it was going to be due to the traditional thickness. It may be ok a little thinner. You have to get every little bit of old adhesive up and make sure the surface is very clean.

I have seen a aluminum boat with some kind of liner like rhino liner on the deck and floor it a off white. I don't know if it came form the dealer that way or was done after it was bought.

Let me know when you get ready. I have a buddy that runs Bullet liner in Marietta. He has done boats in the past. He said he could do what ever color you wanted.
