Hello everyone first id like to say killer site. I live in the Calhoun area work in Marietta 2nd shift so Allatoona is and easy stop for some night fishin on the way home. I fished alot growing up then not so much after high school took about 10 yrs off. About 2 yrs ago started fishing pretty seriously again with my dad. He has fished prety steadily all his life used to do some tournament fishing locally. But i am just getting into resivoir fishing. As a kid we fished farm ponds creeks and some in the river near the house. Still fish the river alot in the winter but im really interested in learning to catch fish in allatoona, carters, lanier, and other relatively local lakes. Larger lakes than I have become accustomed to. I have an 88 VIP 17ft blue over grey with a Force 125 its in great shape and runs well. I think it will serve me well for the kind of fishing i want to do. also have a 17ft jon boat grey with homemade deck on the front 67 lb thrust t-motor and a 30 hp evinrude "The River Machine" Thanks and Hello Todd Bone ;D

Welcome Todd, Your right; this is a dang good site, a lot of good folks here that are willing to help and give advice. They have already stored enough information in the system to give you a good start on how to fish toona. Just about anyway that you want to fish the lake has already been discussed in the forum and like your self being out of fishing for a while I have found it very useful and seems like I learn something new everyday, so if there is anything you need, just ask and I am sure someone on here will be glad and able to help you out.

First off, welcome to the forum. I live in cartersville but work in calhoun. I live 7 miles from allatoona so i fish it several days a week. It can be tough at times but dont give up.
This is a great site with alot of great info. Some of these guys have been fishing toona for a long time. We are all here to help each other and promote the sport of fishing. If your ever at the gatewood ramp and you spot a white gmc duramax hooked to a ranger z 518, feel free to introduce your self.
If you have any questions dont hesitate to ask, because someone on here has the answer. So welcome to the forum and tight lines. ;D
