@criz, I know you looked before but had issues with the boater rule thing, that rule is changing next month for our annual rule changes. Check out our FB page for some updates on rules that will be voted on at our next meeting...

Well it was a rule that any new member, boater or not, had to fish as a co angler for at least 2 tournaments before he could take his own boat but that is now going to change because it really didn't make much sense!! As long as a club member is in the boat with the new person it will be just fine...

I'm not trying to offend anyone with this, and im not trying to start and argument. But why is this rule in affect any way? Just curios thats all Some clubs used do this to insure the prospective fished with a member for his prospective tournaments. then the member would give a verbal report on the prospect during their "vote in". Big Shanty used to do this until several years ago we had a fellow get voted in,, after that he took his boat and was a careless boat operator. We changed the rule so that if you intend to be a boater that for 1 of your prospective tournaments you had to take your boat an be paired with a non boater member primarily to insure the prospect knew the proper boating regs and could operate his craft in a safe manner.
