Does anybody know anything about the hydro tec phase 3 kit? Looking at a boat with an 08 225 vmax hpdi phase 2 power head and it has the kit installed.. Pros? cons? Thanks!

If you go to bassboatcentral and scroll down to the yamaha high performance board you should be able to find what all is included in the phase 3 kit. what kind of boat is it on?

it will be fast on that boat. there is someone on bass boat central that has one with that kit on it and he said it will run 90.

Ya same thing this guy told me. Any difference in what fuel to run or what additive? Couldn't find much on that.

since the heads are cut and the compression is higher you will have to run at least 91 octane. for me the the benefit of having the heads cut and running high test is worth having to put high octane gas in my boat.

Ya defiantly I heard someone talkin about needing to run some type of alcohol didn't no if that was mandatory or somthing different all together. I already run 93 so won't be a change for me

no you shouldnt have to run alcohol. it will be a handle full to drive if you have never drove one that fast.
