I had a 10 inch plate on my last 2 boats. Stressing your transom on todays boats breaking a transom is the least of your worries. Doug these guys are steering you right..

If a Bullet and Stroker can handle 14-16" of setback at over 90mph yours can handle a 6" no problem.. Just check with the manufacture

Thanks everyone!
My 6" pro hi jacker manual jack plate arrived today...now I just need someone to install it (along with a water pressure gauge).
I got a quote from Park Marine to install the jack plate for $180 and a water pressure gauge for $160 (including the cost of the gauge). Are these prices reasonable? Anyone have dealers local to Marietta/Atlanta area that would be better?
The jack plate install seemed high, but I have no way to lift the motor for doing it myself.
