Hi All,
I'm new to this board and relatively new to fishing. Fished as a kid up in the filthy waters of southern New England. I now have two boys, 13 and 7 who have shown an interest in fishing. The little one is especially excited about it (as I am). He wakes up every morning asking when we're going to get to catch some bass. He has caught a bunch of smaller fish in the small pond in our neighborhood (bluegill/sunfish).
My question is where could I take him along Allatoona to catch (or try to catch) a bass? I saw the map with the different bank sites listed and was wondering if a place like Gault's is a good place for bank fishing in October? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! Frank

The Jetty at Galts Ferry has a lot of brush around this area and it's a good safe productive place to bank fish. There is also the Jetty at the bethany bridge area that still has plenty of water around it. the best thing to do though is check triton mike's bank fishing areas for lake allatoona on this forum, good luck Frank and welcome.

Thank you for your help! I'm sure I will enjoy the board...I've already learned some things from reading previous threads! I think we will try Gault's in the near future. I have seen Triton Mike's map with the various bank fishing areas...will have to give them all a try at some point.
Thank you all again.
Frank
