Moved here a couple years back, so im still learnin the area. Tried finding a few small fishable lakes for shore fishing to no avail. A couple months ago i got my first boat and have been out on Allatoona a few times. The names Josh. If you see me out on the water and need anything, or want to just say hey, come on over. Im in the 21ft Carolina Skiff 218DLV. P.S. If you want to give me any tips on how to fish this lake i wouldnt be upset with ya, ive had an Allatoona skunk on my boat till this last trip. Finally beat the dang thing off. Thanks for letting me join and good luck to everyone! Attachments:

Welcome Josh. I would spend some time reading the posts here. Most folks will try and help freely. Sometimes it's what they don't say. LOL The folks at Natures Tackle Box in Hiram, GA are in tune with the local lakes and baits that work. You can learn more in one day hiring Mike Bucca as a guide than you will learn in a year by trial and error. The local fishing clubs are a good way to learn from the locals too. Time on Water, (TOW) is the common thread to boating fish. Allatoona is tough!! Be patient and it will reward you with knowledge and lower your stress level.
Tight lines and BTW...... Nice boat!!

Hi Josh,
I'll be on toona tomorrow as well, putting in at Galts. Red/Silver Stratos with a Yamaha motor. I'll be the guy bundled up like the abominable(sp?) snowman in the morning. Should be a nice day. Hope the fish are hungry.
Good luck.
