New to this forum. Does anyone know of some tournaments on allatoona that would be good for someone just starting out. Bought my first boat last summer( bass boat ) and want to start competing. Weekends only due to my work schedule. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks

Check the tournament section on this site. The linked bass is a good trail. I believe the next one is Feb 23rd. There is one every Sunday morning out of Gaults. Those guys are GOOD .

Thanks, for the plug, Ray! I couldn't have said it any better. The Sunday Afternoon events have become very popular for all of the reasons Ray stated. If you want to start tournament fishing in a very low key relaxing atmosphere and meet a bunch of friendly folks at the same time, then come on out tomorrow afternoon to the Gatewood ramp in Bartow County. I usually get there around noon so be sure an introduce yourself! ;D

You will not be disappointed, this is just a fun filled event and good group of people, plus Bob (Porko) does an excellent job as does Wally.

Just an FYI, if you're not ready to commit to a specific bass club: Georgia Bass League brings together anglers from bass clubs around the state to compete against each other. Pretty cool.
