35 degrees, 20 mph winds, spitting snow... THE BIG GIRLS ARE OUT!!! I froze my tail off Saturday for about 5 hours, ans ended up with a bag that would win most tournaments anywhere. Landed a total of 7 fish, flippin docks on a private lake. My best five went about 22lbs!! Picture #1 my kicker, a 7-4 bruiser! Picture #2 is that fish on my deck, to compare with pic #3 a bucketmouth that had a larger head, and was one inch longer in size, but looked like it had spawned already, what do you guys think? So she might have been about 6lbs... Pic #4 look at the size of that mouth! dwarfing my 7" trick worm! Rounding out my bag, a 4-7, and two in the 2-3 lbs range. I only had the scale handy for two of the fish, I don't have a livewell, so I just stringered the last two fish of the day and then relaesed them happy and healthy after a quick weigh-in. i1297.photobucket.com/albums/ag25/mksharkster/03D9E328-4390-4C0F-A289-727F120D5B63-10457-00000C8015D320A3_zps3722596c.jpgi1297.photobucket.com/albums/ag25/mksharkster/0AC42F19-8D65-48FC-B445-E4A3C3ED420A-10457-00000C81D67DCB46_zps27ecf7d8.jpgi1297.photobucket.com/albums/ag25/mksharkster/A9A0E210-10A9-4C27-9FD6-1B5EB8462792-10457-00000C81B03FFEC0_zps0e955b25.jpgi1297.photobucket.com/albums/ag25/mksharkster/8ECD9353-B866-4916-93EC-2CA39A173464-10457-00000C8195C64874_zps4be0f7b8.jpgI do love me some winter time bassin!!!!

Nice Mike!! It looks like you have made up from the ugly days we have had lately at Allatoona. But this weekend could be good fishing and a good turnout of anglers. If my pattern I have figured out at Allatoona holds up friday during practice, I should be showing up for the first time as a Boater saturday at the ABA!!

Man that's the main reason I go there... To lick my wounds!! Build some confidence before I take another allatoona beatin'.
I think you have held out longer than I would have. If I had a boat that was tournament worthy... I would not be in the back of somebody else's fishin co-angler. That's one reason why I haven't bought a bass boat yet, keeps me in the learning chair.
I may be there Saturday, but if the baby comes and I don't see you there, good luck on your first outing as a boater!!

Thanks buddy!! Yeah I am getting excited for sure. But at the same time there is still a lot more to learn. Whenever I fish as a Co-Angler I try to take advantage of the opportunity on learning something new. Each boater most likely fishes the lake a little differently (different techniques and different locations on the lake). I also get to make some good friends. Out of all the fishing I have done, this past year was the first full year of fishing Allatoona (all 4 seasons, summer, fall, winter, spring). If you remember how amateur I was at the first 2 tournaments showing up with those short leaders and snap swivels. I have gone a long way in just these last couple of months. I have probably progressed faster than anyone has on Allatoona when it comes to the amount of time I have put on the water in just 1 year. But I also have to thank everyone willing to teach me something while we were out fishing. And trust me, you can never stop learning. Congrats Mike!! I hope everything goes well for you, your wife, and soon to be newborn.

Thanks for the post on GFF! How do you get the pics to post actually in the thread? All I could get was the link...
Thanks for the wishes on the baby guys! I'm pretty excited!!!! It's pretty crazy to think that those fish weighed about what my son does right now!!
I'll definitely keep you posted!!

I tried to post them here first from your Photobucket account using the code but ran into the same problem you did. so to see if your photobucket account was screwy I put them on GFF and it worked. I wish I could explain why there is a difference but I am maxxed out on my technical savvy for that one! lol

What's strange to me... Even other posts of other guys pics are showing on my end as 'this photo has been moved or deleted' so its not just mine. But there are some posts that are showing pics just fine. I think I'm going to get the proboards mobile app and see if that works better. I know that the reviews have a lot of bad reports about the app, but maybe they have debugged it?

Hey Michael...are you a new Dad yet? This sunday i have a honey - do list and can't fish Bob's tourny but i won't miss his last Sunday 3 fish tourny on March 24th, i will be there and the opening in my boat is there for ya buddy or when ever you are in the right situation to fish a tourny with me. I know having a child come into the world changes a lot of things...all for the better. I wish you and the wife the best. Maybe we can catch some of Bob's night tourny's when they start. Mo ;D

Also, Frank...since you are a boater now...you and Michael should join Cast-a-Way...a great way to learn and have fun...not much cost either.
