Last weekend I was a sad but lucky man. Saturday, I had to put down my oldest dog (16yrs old), she had cancer spread up into her jaw. Afterwards, I told the wife I wanted to go bowl (did not want to sit in the house and dwell) She said go but she didn't want to go - here is where the luckiness comes in. If she had went we would have taken the van, leaving my truck out in the drive. Instead I took my truck since it was just me...not even 20 minutes after leaving she calls me telling me an oak dropped across the drive right where my truck would be parked! So of course this weekend I am having trees dropped because we see a couple that are leaning towards the house. Guess one day I will get to go fish!

Sorry about your old dog, they're hard to part with. On the happier note, you are darned lucky for sure! That Limb would've definitely added insult to injury!

Glad you're ok Lev...sorry for your loss buddy...my wife & i had to put down our beagle mix that we had for 15 years...it's never easy. I was worried about my wife because the dog we put down(Milo) had been by her side for over a decade while she worked from home. She had said she wanted to wait and not get a dog anytime soon, but she had quit talking and i could tell she was depressed...so 2 weeks later i brought her Cooper...a bouncing 6 lb 100% male Alpha beagle, he was 6 weeks old and my wife changed instantly...all smiles. She has Thanked me over and over and said it was the right thing to do, all i could say if let's try not to mourn Milo's passing but celebrate the 15 years we had with him because he was a pure joy. Once again sorrry for your loss and glad you are ok. Mo

We have the Lab and she is a handful - loves to jump up, all 105lbs of her, into dad's chair with him!!!! We both said we would wait a while after Lady before getting dogs again and when we do, they will be a bit smaller.... Yes - that limb would have taken the back side of the camper shell and tailgate off - that would have made the day a total flush in the ol' crapper for sure!
