Hey guys, I’m new to this forum and enjoy reading all your post. I just moved here about a year ago to be near daughter, son-in-law and 2 little grand daughters and haven’t gotten back into fishing yet. We lived on Smith Mtn Lake (550 miles of shoreline and great fishing) outside of Roanoke, Va. For 16 yrs. Hated to relocate; but its been worth a million bucks. I’ve bass fished most of my life and am looking to possibly join a club in this area. We live south of Calhoun off of RT 41. Are there any active clubs in the Calhoun area?
Thanks

Thanks I have fished Smith MTN, used to live in Arlington and was stationed at HQ Marine Corp, met my wife in Arlington. Fished the Potomac, James, and Lake Anna mostly. Used to be with Woodbridge Bass Anglers. I see you live in Calhoun, not a problem, i think we have a couple of members who live in Dalton www.castawaybassclubnwga.com

Hey MoBass. I lived also in Arlington on Columbia Pike for 2 yrs while working at the Pentagon in '68 til '70. I didn't get to fish much then; but when I got back to Rke I fished Smith Mtn, Leesville, Kerr (Bugs Island, Gaston and a few others around Va and Carolina. I started fishing Smith Mtn when they started flooding it. Great Lake!
