There will be 8-10 guys from NCBC there that have confirmed already and like Danny says, 4-5 boats. I wish I could make it but 2 of my kids have ball games starting at 8 in the morning tomorrow... Be safe everyone!

Well lets do another tree cutting on Saturday June 15th and put some more fish condos in the lake. I know it is getting hot but this is the first time this year that I have been able to get all of the different factors to line up for a cutting. And even though it is getting hot I will still need you to wear long pants during the cutting and some sturdy boots or shoes. I will have waivers for all the volunteers to fill out and sign as well as emergency contact #'s and first aide kit. We will need to spend some time making more cables and of course a detailed safety briefing before leaving to cut is a must. Where: Galts Ferry Boat Ramp When: 8:00AM - Noon PLEASE REPLY IN THIS THREAD IF YOU PLAN ON ATTENDING!!!(And let me know if you will bring a boat, chainsaw or just a warm body)

Sorry I couldn't make it there today. My dad came in town Friday and we had things to do around the house. Maybe next time... I hope everything went well though

I'm sorry for the late reply its been a busy two days. Started off yesterday morning with the tree cutting followed by a Braves game with my daughter, followed by my son and his wife and five grandsons coming for a Father's Day visit.
We had a total of 12 people show up to help with the tree cutting program. We met at 8 o'clock at Galts Ferry boat ramp as scheduled, had our safety meeting and made up cables. Then on to our cutting destination where we put 68 new fish condos into the lake. We were back to the boat ramp by 11:30 and loaded up and headed home by 12 o'clock noon.
I must admit this was definitely a difficult cutting area, as there was a lot of steep terrain and ledges to traverse. And of course yours truly had to slip and fall in the water at least one time. Which cost me a trip this afternoon to Verizon for a new phone. But most importantly all that was hurt was my pride and my wallet and nobody had any safety issues or accidents during the cutting.
I want to thank DannyP, Cliff (RabidCliff) and Sean (QDSseaHorse) from the forum along with eight members of the North Cobb Bass Club for making this a very productive cutting.
I will post some pictures when I have more time.
