Guys I am going to install the bluewater deck lighting on my Javelin and was wondering where the best place would be to tie in to my 12V power without causing any other electrical problems?

Do you have a fuse block? Are there any spare fuse slots on the block? You are going to need to have a switch and fuse inline with your lighting. An electrical fire is a dangerous thing on a boat (or anywhere else for that matter). Safety FIRST !!!!

Fuse block? I do have self reset circuit breakers under the console by my right leg that all my circuits run through. I was thinking of tying into my Nav light circuit since I would have to have those on at same time anyway and I know that leds have a low amp draw. What you think? Or my courtesy compartment circuit .

That courtesy circuit would be my first choice. It depends on the current draw. Somewhere on the instructions or package there should be the current rating of the LED's. It might be expressed in Watts. 10 Watts draws 1 amp at 10 volts. (P= I x E) (P) = Watts, (I) = amperage, (E) = Volts. You want to have the LED's on a independent switch right? Your choice. Make sure you tap off of the protected side of the breaker, not the voltage supply side.
If this is confusing you... PM me and I will try and talk you thru it.

Got it done and man how did I ever fish at night without this. What a diff. this bluewater LED lighting makes and is easy on your vision and I could see well enough to thread a hook without holding flashlight. Thanks Russ for your advise and help and I am sure I will need your expertise on this rig soon.
