Well the operation that I had did not work out so well. The first one was on 8/1, and they had to do the full cut to get where they needed to be. Went home in 6 days, and was back in the emergency room two days later with a distended stomach that had split open near the incision. Second operation on 8/10, and got out of the. Hospital on the 22nd. Still at home with a bunch of plastic retention sutures holding everything together. Hopefully will be out and working again by the middle of October. Never had cabin fever this bad, especially just sitting around with nothing to do.. Tight lines!

Dang it all Cliff, it sounds like they have put you through the mill. Hopefully now you're on a good road to recovery. If there is anything I can do for you please let me know. Hope to see you on the lake in a few weeks.

Cliff I hate to hear about the set back but you may be on the road to recovery now. Don't push yourself into another set back. I live in Rockmart so if I can be of any help just let me know, I would be more than happy to help any way I can. Hope for a quicker recovery.

Been here since 1971 when I was 15 years old and haven't left. My wife and I have been married now for 33 years and we are kind of settled in so we might as well stay put (lol). Hope your feeling well today and my offer stands.

I spend most of my working hours over in Rockmart at Meggitt on Goodyear St. I am the Boeing Customer rep over there. Did you do something like over exert yourself on the first surgery? That sounded pretty painful!

No Bob, nothing that I did, something about a blockage started it. Went in to the doctor today and he took all of the plastic retention sutures off, and man what a difference, no more pinching or pulling. Going back to work next week and not long after will be hitting the lake! Again thanks everyone for your thoughts!

Just started back to work on Thursday. Doing better, but if not for having a desk job, would still be sitting on my butt at home. Finally got the plastic retention sutures. Removed, so that made it feel much better. Also got to start sleeping in bed instead of the recliner, also a good thing. Ready to get back on the lake, but that might not be for awhile. My wife says that I can't go until she gets to quit changing the dressing two times per day,,,,, dang it! Thanks for asking Ray!
