Cast-A-Way Bass Club Meeting and Tournament, June 2014

June 11, 2014 is our meeting and June 14th, 2014 is the tournament
Lake Neely Henry, near Gadsden, AL., is the next stop on the trail. Blast off will be around 6AM Georgia time and it looks like we will be blasting off from the public ramp under the HWY 77 Bridge in Rainbow City, AL (there's just something peculiar about that town's name? lol). Weigh in will be at 3:30 Georgia time (ESDT). If you want to fish as a guest, the entry fee is $25 and must be paid by the close of meeting on the Wednesday before the tournament (June 11, 2014). Keep your fingers crossed for decent weather and not too hot!
We meet at the Center Street Tavern and Grill in Old Town Acworth (directions can be found in our website www.castawaybassclubnwga.com/)

Happy Father's Day to all of you Dad's out there!


Well we managed to get our tournament in amongst another surprise tournament at the small Rainbow City Ramp. There was one at the City Ramp in Gadsden and a River Festival in Gadsden this weekend. The simplest way to put it is there was plenty of company on the water! We all made it back safely regardless of me questioning my judgment to have the tournament at that ramp all day long. All you can say is that nobody knew how it was going to be until we got there. It's done now!


This is the year of Jake and Eric, well at least the last couple of tournaments. These boys are dialed in very well and making good decisions. The results are evident at the scales! The results are posted so everyone can see where they stand at this point of the year.


Here are the money spots:


4th place went to Joseph Marlow, Justin's brother who fished as a guest, with 5 fish for 7.71lbs and $32


3rd place was Mike Cronin with 5 fish for 9.71lbs and $64, Mike also had Big Bass with a 3.46lb Spotted bass for $80


2nd place was Eric Fisher with 5 fish for 13.09lbs and $96


1st place (again) was Jake Akin with 5 fish for 13.47lbs and $128
