Any one ever go out on the lake to watch? What's it like with all the boats?

lots and lots of boats. The Yacht Club has a show every year and for about 2-3 hours, the area from clear creek almost to Bartow Carver is covered with boats. This year will be on the 5th, unfortunately the same night as one of my Porko Tournaments. A few years ago I was fishing the Little river area and that sub-division across from Sweetwater had a big show too, and that whole part of the lake was covered with boats.

It is very dangerous with all the boats and idiots on the water especially after dark. Be very careful and watch out for all the drinkers cause they don't care. Be safe and enjoy the fireworks display.

I always watch on TV, a lot safer. I have seen fireworks displays all over the world, the best one was when i was stationed at Hq Marine Corp in Arlington Va. My folks came to visit and we went down near the White House lawn and the Monument. It was the most awesome fireworks display i had ever seen, lasted for 4 + hours. Really felt proud to be an American and a US Marine watching this in our Nations Capital with my folks...one day i will never forget July 4th 1983.
