Our last tournament of the 2014 season this coming Saturday on Lake Weiss. We will be meeting at the Center St. Tavern and Grill in Old Town Acworth this Wednesday Oct 8, 2014. To fish as a guest or member the entry fee must be paid by the close of business at our meeting on Wednesday night. We will be discussing potential lakes for next year and going over some data before this tournament. If you wish to fish this last one with us as a guest you must pay before the meeting ends and get your Blast off number at the meeting.

I really want to fish this one with you guys as a guest, but we have our classic of our summer series at Allatoona that day. Good luck guys, have fished Weiss twice last two weeks, lake is fishing kinda tough right now, but then again Saturday there were two-foot whitecaps on the lake, so that had something to do with it. Good luck guys and be careful Weiss is down just enough that you will start to see a few "new" things int he water.

Thanks, Ron. We saw you and your dad out there Saturday. I have fished the last two saturdays out there with some decent luck, under dramatically different conditions both times. Hopefully, this saturday will be productive and not TOO wet.

Multiple ramps on multiple lakes Rabidcliff. At Weiss we used the Weissmart/Hawgs den, at Toona I think going out of Gatewood, not sure though.

Yeah Bob we did pretty good one week, then pretty bad last week at Weiss. The wind really killed what we wanted to do Saturday, made two area's we wanted to fish unfishable, but that is part of fishing this time of the year anywhere. Good luck to all you guys Saturday, and just remember the good thing about Weiss is this, any one cast can get you well on a tournament day. There are some big girls over there swimming around if you can find them.

The pot is up to $1018 for a LMB over 7, or a Spot over 5, or a SMB over 5lbs. That is over and above the money spots and tournament Big Bass pot.

The Cast-A-Way Bass Club 2014 season is now history! We had 18 members and 3 guest fishing Lake Weiss on Saturday Oct 11, 2014. Those 21 folks weighed 56 fish for a total of 94.56 lbs, an average of 1.69lbs per fish. We paid five places yesterday. Here are the money spots: 5th place went to Eric Fisher with 5 fish for 6.52lbs 4th place went to Robbie Holmes with 5 fish for 7.54lbs 3rd place went to Wally Lee with 5 fish for 7.95lbs 2nd place went to Mike Cronin with 5 fish for 9.02lbs 1st place went to Justin Marlow with 5 fish for 14.00lbs Justin also had Big Bass with a LMB that weighed 5.08lbs Yesterday also meant that our Angler of the Year and Top Six Anglers were determined. This race went to the wire this year, very close with a tie for second place that was broken by using the anglers weights for the same best 8 events. Here are the 2014 AOY and Top Six for the Cast-A-Way Bass Club of Northwest Georgia: Eric Fisher, Angler of the Year (two years in a row!) Justin Marlow, Second Place 2014 Jake Akin, Third Place 2014 Mike Cronin, Fourth Place 2014 Robbie Holmes, Fifth Place 2014 Ken Heinrich, Sixth Place 2014 WELL DONE TO ALL! Here is a picture of yesterday's winner and a couple of his best fish (the one in his right hand is the 5.08lb.) Calling all members to the November Meeting for elections, rule changes and 2015 lake selections on November 5, 2014!
