New to the forum and Allatoona

Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum and Allatoona. I can get to Allatoona in an hour from my house so I'm ready to try to learn the lake. Any tips or spots that you know of will be gladly appreciated! Where is a good area to catch shad?

Welcome to the forum. I'm the last person to know good places to catch bait. Most use the green lights before light.

Haven't been out in three weeks but the go to places in north/mid lake are little River and Kellog creek. Will almost always catch at one of the two.
Like mike said, early mornjng before sunup. Green lights help, but not necessarily needed.

I see some striper guides around the bridge at Kellog throwing a net for shad.

Has that been in last few weeks or just in general? Been almost a month now and I'm heading out tomorrow. Trying to determine run to little River or Kellog for bait.
