I have been registered for about a year now but have not posted. I have recently just gotten back into bass fishing and I am new to big water bass fishing. I have been fishing out of Victoria and have had very little luck. I am struggling with fishing deep water points and structure vs. Bank fishing visable structure. I bought a lorance hook 4 chirp but I am still learning how to use it. Long story short altoona fishing has been frustrating. Any advise would be appreciated.

This time of year there is fish from the bank out deep, me personally I would stay around the 5-12 foot range Fishing points and secondary points. Jerk baits, crank baits, jigs and spot stickers and change the size of the worms on them. The fish don’t move much but there mood on how they want to eat does. 45 degree banks near spawning areas or the last deep spot before a spawning flat can be good. My advice is don’t stay anywhere long, I agree you are in a good area. I normally stay with the green pumpkin or water melon type color on the worms or jigs but red bug and June bug also works great on toona. I keep a painted color jerk bait for cloudy days and a chrome type or transparent color for sunny days. A bandit 200 or series 3 in strike king is my favorite for shallow cranking there. Hope this helps.

Moved around a fished sweetwater creek didn't go up little river water was stained. And ended the day across from gaults landing. I fished spot removers with finess and trick worms. I also tried Carolina and Texas rigs, and mixed in a few crank baits. 39 degrees Saturday morning might of had the fish a little skittish. Maybe I will figure it out next time

Hello and Good Morning
After 40 years, I have decided to start fishing again. I live in Cherokee County, so Allatoona is close for me. I will be mostly shore fishing, and maybe a kayak. Hope to be sucessful!
