My Minn Kota 65 Edge stopped working after a few hours fishing. It would not work in any speed or setting. I “tapped” the head and it started working. Intermittently continued to stop working and would start again once the head was tapped. I cannot locate any loose wires in the head.
Any ideas?

Thanks for the input.
I put on a new battery volt breaker and cleaned the battery connections. I also clean the power plug connections. All the foot pedal connections are clean. I opened the head and all the connections are stable and sealed.
Any other ideas.

Dc motors have brushes that wear down with use. Never changed brushes in a TM but it's no big deal usually assuming it doesn't leak when you put it back together
