ONe of the fine members on here, invited me after I recently joined the GON board. I'm addicted to bassfishing, have been for 45 plus years! I live about 2-3 miles above the Gatewood and Cooper Branch boat ramps in the Southern Meadows sub-division, belong to the Bartow County Bass Club and just starting to meet some of the fine folks around here that enjoy bassfishing as much as I do! (we moved over here in June and into our home in July 2007). I am currently a longtime moderator on the Texas Fishing Forum and have been active in the bass-fishing scene for many years. Thanks for the invite!

Thanks, Killian. I like it so far. It's nice and quiet out here (having come from the Arlington, TX area, that's a treat!). I really look forward to hooking up with you guys and learning this "dead sea" a bit better. I managed to locate some good numbers late summer into the fall, and few decent fish in the mix. With the lake down right now, I've seen more brush piles than I've ever seen in my life! ;D I've been thinking about setting some out myself ( kind of planning for a low water year, so setting some out in deeper locations). Any tips on the correct process for doing this?

Mr. Porko, It's an HONOR to have an Texas Fishing Forum guy with us here!! I know quite a few guys over there but I'm too ashamed to tell you there name as they have probably been banned a few times LOL. Splash aka Andy Caldwell, Chris Nors, D.R., Paul Sonnier, Gene Graddick and I am sure I am missing a few. Glad to have you with us here. I used to live in Arlington, Grapevine and Lubbock in a 3 year span. Loved the fishing opportunities over there. I have probably missed more days fishing over there because I could NEVER decide what lake I was going to fish because you have over 100 lakes within a 100 miles of DFW and everyone of them are capable of 10lb fish. Unreal fishing. Thanks for joining us and I hope you'll post with us here.

Mike, thank you for the welcome! The lakes over there are truly wonderful, especially the power plant lakes this time of year! I will miss them without a doubt! I will continue moderating the TFF for a while longer, they are like family to me. Although I may not know all of the names (more familiar with some of the screen names! LOL), I am sure I have met them before if they've ever been to the Tackle shows. The last few years the Bass Club that I was president of had a booth at the Arlington Tackle Show (before that it was in Mesquite, TX and we had a booth there as well). I have always helped J.P. Greeson out and I am also the creator of the TFF Matchplay tournament series. We had fun, make no doubt about it. I am anxious to get involved with you guys and make sure the fun didn't end when I crossed the state line! Lance Richards, one of my neighbors told me you guys have a decent tournament on Allatoona. I am looking forward to finding out more of what's going on here so "fill me up, please"!
