Took this picture yesterday on Allatoona. What is it? How about... A Red Crested Allatoona Road-running Wood Pecker? LOL Anyone know what it really is?

Sorry Waterworld. I thought I followed the directions for posting a pic, I'll work on it. Thanks for the FIX Shadowfax!
Killian, Thanks for the info! I have to admit that I took that with a friends camera not mine. I'm a Canon guy but I took this pic with his NIKON D-70 with a 300mm tele/zoom. I'm surrounded by NIKON whenever I fish. My brother-in-law has a D-200 and he brings it when we fish.
BTW I also got some good shots of several Turkey Buzzards on the same day.
Shadowfax, I joined photobucket, uploaded pic then cut and pasted the code. Did I snag the wrong code? Thanks Jeff

no problem Birds have been a lifelong hobby of mine. The fishing trips where I spot the Bald Eagles are the best trips. I've been drooling over DSLR's for quite a while now. It's always great to see a picture from the cameras.

Which will it be Killian, a 997 or the DSLR?
Jeff, you just missed the bracket at the beginning of the link. No problem.

Don't ever try to teach a hog to sing. It is a waste of time and it will annoy the hog.

Beautiful Picture! It looks like a cross between a blue game hen and a roadrunner. We were fishing Saturday on West point and a Bald Eagle few over us about 50 ft. He was almost complete in his moult.
