Since I was the one that wanted this I thought I would get the ball started.
For me this whole fall and later summer the best thing I used was a carolina rigged trick worm or finnesse worm. The only colors they would hit were watermelonseed and water melon candy.

Gooseman, I had the most luck this fall and late summer with a weightless tex-skin rigged trick worm(#1= black, #2=green pumpkin),a lot of the ponds I fish are very weedy and though I prefer a carolina rigged finesse or trick worm pulling weeds off after every cast gets old.

Hooked- I had that same problem at Vogel state park. Weeds ,Weeds!!!!!!AHAHAH
Those mountain fish r so deep the only way to get them is with a c-rigg. It would take a long time with a weightless worm or senko.

Goose, is the water clear where you're fishing or even slightly stained? Try a dropshot yet:)?

You can't go wrong with a shakeyhead worm. I have used it bank fishing all year long, in every situation, and have caught fish. Sometimes you have to work it differently, but I seem to always manage to catch something.
My color of choice: Greenpumpkin....hands down.

During my pond fishing days. It was hard to beat a 8 to 10 inch Texas Rig worm in the dead heat of summer. I have a 7lb fish that I have mounted above my computer that I caught back in 1988 doing just that. Thats the only way I could catch the bigger fish in the summer.

goose why do you buy all these swimbaits when it looks like you never talk about them much. always when you caught something is on c-rig or some plastic.
and how do you drop shot from the bank i can see maybe a cliff or something. but casting out from the bank and twitching your bait would be like walking you bait slow wouldn't it? anyways just my hardheaded input!! lmao
