Water Temp is trying really really hard to reach 90 degrees. Water level is now 7.7ft low. We are dropping fast at about .2ft per day. Fishing for numbers has slowed down some. The quality is still showing up but not all of them are making it to the boat. I lost a moose on the spoon earlier in the am and also lost a good fish on the sammy as well (prolly a hybrid on the sammy) At first light the schooling bite is going pretty good for about 45 minutes. They are finicky tho but when they do come up you gotta be fast, quick and accurate with your casts when they bust on top. Close only counts in horseshoes, hand grenades and darts (notice I didn't say fishing LOL) when it comes to casting accuracy at these schooling fish. They are hitting Pop R's and Sammys on some days and jerkbaits on others. Just depends on what mood they are in. Once the topwater bite dies it gets pretty tough.. Most of the fish I am catching mid day are on offshore structure on spoons in the 18-22ft depth range. In the picture above is my buddy Bruce trying to do a T Mike pose ;D and a few hybrids that we caught this morning. I got some trip openings in early septemeber. Most of late september is almost booked completely. I have the 6th, 7th and 21st open in September. Mike
