I have been out on the lake every day this past week. The Hybrids are on fire. It's a rarity that I fish for hybrids but they are just too much fun to pass up when you are fishing for spots and they light up your sonar. Most of the hybrids are coming on spoons ranging anywhere from 20 to 50 ft. Your either on them or your not and you just have to move around until you find them on your graph and when you do there will be no doubt in your mind :"). The past 5 days I have had over 150 hybrids in my boat. My shoulders are aching, my thumb is raw and I feel like I have been pooped off a high rise LOL.
The spots are hanging around whatever visible wood you can find. I am also finding a concentration of bass on points as well. The key I am finding is bait. I am catching quite a few nice spots mixed in with the hybrids on the spoon as well. Just a variety of things working so so and nothing really working better than the other. With this cooler weather upon us I expect our finicky fish to start feeding strongly My abnormalty for the week was catching a nice 3lb largemouth on a sammy in 44ft of water. LOL
BTW. The big hybrid I am holding in the top right picture is very close to 10lbs. Thats my biggest hybrid to date and the lake record is 13lbs. Kicker is I had a 15lb stripe following her .
A special special thanks goes out to Pat (aka Hrus) and Brian (aka Toonafish). Without you guys sharing info things wouldn't have been as good as they were. Thanks for the help guys!!
