Water level is holding steady at 17ft low. Temps are ranging anywhere from 69-71 ish. The water is clearing up very nicely and is fairly clear all throughout the lower end and midlake area. It's stained from Gaults and higher. Regaurdless of water clarity you can catch fish anywhere on the lake right now and almost pick your tactic if the winds/weather permits.
I got out today with Brad Rutherford aka lakehartwellpro the 2 time Georgia State Youth Bass Fishing Champion. It was awesome to see young guys like Brad take a serious dedication to our sport. Brad wanted to learn some electronics and swimbait tactics so that he can take them back to Hartwell with him so we did a little of both. At 17 years old Brad picked up the swimbait setup instantly. He hung in there with me all day today and was rewarded a very nice Allatoona sack for his efforts. We caught our fish on 2 baits all day. Triple Trouts and Buzzbaits. Like I said in my last report the shad are making their fall migration into the creeks. This movement signifies the Pre Fall season. The fish are holding at the mouth of the creeks and slowly working their way into whats left of the creeks. The spoon bite is also working if you look hard enough with your graph. Thanks to Pat aka HRUS for taking the picture! ~>
I have a few days open in November but they are filling up fast. Email me if your interested in booking a trip to learn some Spoon and Swimbait tactics. mbucca@comcast.net
