Fishing is pretty good. There is a halfway decent schooling bite bright and early. It wasn't as strong as it could be due to the wind, but If the wind dies down it should be pretty good with a mixed bag of Hybrids, whites and Spots. Sammy's and the bama Rig is the deal. This am I had almost 30 fish by myself on a mixture of Topwater, Spoons, Dropshot and Spot Tails. The main deal for me after the scooling bite is offshore stuff. Humps, long points, channel ledges, brush, rock piles etc etc. in the 25ft range. Just hit as many of those during the day and you will hook up. It's difficult to stay on those off shore areas in the wind but persistance and a good GPS/Sonar split screen is worth it's weight in gold right now. I had two 7lb stripers on 6lb Triple Fish Fluorocarbon using Spot tails this am (that was a hoot chasing them down with the trolling motor ! LOL). I had both of them on video but when I went to look at it the dang camera was zoomed in all the way. You can see the sky pretty good tho . I also had half a dozen whopper size crappie and the rest where spots ranging anywhere from dinkle to almost 3lbs. So far summer is turning out better than I thought it would.. Mike
