I've never fished for stripers and being boatless I can't get to the deep water. Is there anywhere on toona to get them from the shore? Do they come in shallow at some point in the year? Any help would be appreciated.
There is a road leading back into that Iron Hill area. Goes past the boat ramp and at least over as far as the 13A cove. I have seen hibryds and stripers chasing bait fish in and out of both of those coves. You can even walk out to the end of 13A and you wont be too far from deep water either.
Just don't fish there in the spring, that is my secret spot and no one else ever fishes there except for about 50 or so tournament fishing guys ;D. The trees dropped over there do hold fish. in the spring & summer.
Freedom isn't free, visit a National Cemetery and see the price first hand.
