Hey all, I've been studying Mr. Mike Bucca's map on shore fishing Allatoona and was hoping maybe a few of you might be able to add some insight as to a good place to wet a line would be this weekend. Additionally, I was wondering if anyone knew of a fishing pier or marina with a public fishing dock might be on Allatoona? Periodically my wife's folks will come in to visit and though her dad loves to fish, her mom is not really into it, though a place with some ammenities, like a restroom, benches to sit on, etc might entice her to join us. Anyway, I do appreciate any feedback y'all might provide. If nothing else, I'll start working over the fishing spots Mike has marked on the map. Thanks all, and thanks Mike for providing that map for us. (I'm stuck bank fishing until next year when I can finally get my boat.)

Sorry, no fishing piers around here but there are some decent jetties that would most likely fill the bill. There are four good ones on the lake that I like. There are jetties at Victoria, Gaults, Red Top, and Proctors Landing. The nice thing about these area's is that the CORE has added some good x-mas trees in all of these locations. It might be bit early for there to be a lot of fish holding on them, but the structure will definitley up your chances! Try to fish towards the backs of the coves and pockets around some of these areas too... All have bath room access aswell (at Red Top however, you have to cross the bridge to get to the rest rooms). Good luck!

Gaults Ferry has a nice restroom and i believe some benches and like Stump said a fair amount of Christmas tree's on the left side of the jetty if you're facing the lake plus it gets restocked every Sunday when the tournament fish are released.

I think you can find what you're looking for around RED TOP.

You may want to go on a week day due to the amount of pleasure boaters on the weekends.
