I will give more details later, but wanted to let everyone know how much I appreciated all the help today and in the past cuttings. We had 15 volunteers today and took down a total of 70 trees which completes all the trees that have been marked this year. Pictures and movie to follow later. I'd write more but the wife is cleaning house and I gotta get out of here before she runs me over with a vacuum.

Ray, AWESOME man!! Your the team leader of the year!!! Thanks for spearheading the weekends for us!! Trust me I was there in spirit LOL. Thanks to ALL that participated!! I know there were several trees in Section 16 that were a good bit from the water?? How did they pan out?? You got all those trees "I" missed in 17, 18 and 19 in the pass area and across from Red Top? If so AWESOME!! Great job by all!

Oh ya, all the areas with a few "leftovers" got chopped today. That really was fun out there. Great group of people to build condos Thanks Ray for spearheading the whole chopping. I will definitely be helping out in the future. Was fun back in the last cove with tree after tree exploding into the water (40 back there bit the dust!)

Today 15 tree cutters met at Blockhouse at 8:30 AM, safety briefing, paperwork, game plan organization and material disbursement took until 9:15 which is when we loaded up the boats and left the dock for one of the most pleasurable outings of the year. We divided into 3 teams because of the wide amount or areas to cover. Shadowfax's group finished the 9 trees left at Area # 19. ToonaTrackers group finished the 4 trees left at Area # 18 then the y finished the 4 trees left at Area # 17. Slim's group cut all 13 trees at Area # 16. And everyone met up at Area #22 (Just added Yesterday). We started cutting at Area # 22 at 10:18 and at 11:12 there were 40 condo's in the water at Area # 22 It was one splash after another and all of the pictures below are of that area. We then all gathered up on a bank sat down had some water and admired a good morning’s work and gathered up all of the material. We got back to Blockhouse at 12:30 and left thinking about the next cutting. I really had a good time and only wish that we had a little more time to get to know each other better, but hopefully we will all have that chance in the near future. For those that I did not get any or little time to talk with I'm sorry but still appreciate everyone’s help. Everyone should thank the following volunteers from today as they helped to make our lake better for everyone who uses it both now and in the years to come: Cecil Myers – tilem Chris Welchel – Acebarker Danna Roe Eric Campbell – Shadowfax Phil Edwards -Toonatracker Steve Reaves - Waterworld Jeff Blose - Killian Ron Jensen - Bigmouthbass Chuck Evans - Bad Influence 2202 Dave Nickles - Limitless ShaneMassey – ThaDuck J. P. Morgan Michael Taylor – Slim Mark Frutchey I sit here thinking about how these trees will impact the lake in the years to come, less erosion, more bait fish, more bedding places, more hiding places for our over trafficked fish and it all equals better fishing for my grandkids. I know that I for one will be walking the shore line this winter where the 379 trees we have cut this year are at to see how many beds are under them, I’m betting that I will be amazed. Ray Bowin - Leap’n’Lineman Shadowfax on the cut and showing his backside (Killian said it’s his best looking side) The results of Shadowfax’s work How many cutters can fit on one bank? Ray, IT's gonna be VERY interesting to see how our largemouth react to the trees. Will they make a comeback??? I sure hope so and I can't think but it helping vs hurting them. THANKS TO ALL that helped with the tree cutting. If Ray didn't give you guys a password to the Private Tree Cutting Maps forum shoot me a PM and I'll get it out to ya Thanks to everyone!! Did any of ya relieve some stress ~ LOL Mike

Nice pictures Ray. I kept saying to Eric "remind me to get out my camera this time". but then we'd pull up on the next batch of trees, I'd fire up the chainsaw, then forget the camera I too will be curious to see how much action these condos get. It was fun today to see fish jumping in/around them just minutes after they came down.

Ray, thanks for spearheading once again. As usual, had a great time and really enjoyed meeting everyone and putting faces with names.
Can't wait for next time. Maybe Killian can get a big boy saw so I won't have to cut the big ones for him (LOL).
My best looking side eh? I guess it can't be any worse than my ugly mug. Killian, we gotta talk...

The one person on the list that helped us out was my friend Mark Frutchey. This was his second time helping out and he had fun meeting everybody and cutting trees. I still can't believe how fast everybody cut all those trees. Like everybody else I'm looking forward to the good fishing resulting from everybodys efforts.

Hey thanks Slim and tell Mark "THANKS" for me, I meant to ask him where he got his chainsaw chaps from. If you find out let me know. I have modified my earlier psost to include his name, Mark has been a big help on this project and I am sorry that I have not gotten to know him better.
