Shawn I have a 1999 TR-18 with a 150 johnson, 14.5/24 raker prop and a 6" CMC jackplate. When I bought the boat it didn't have a jackplate and was a handful to drive. I added the jackplate and basically eliminated the chinewalking. Now my prop blows out and i lose all bow rise. It did this without the jackplate but no where near as bad. If I am running full throttle it won't blow out but as soon as i let off even just a little the bow falls and I lose all bite. By the way I am running it at 2.5" below pad and still have 22psi water pressure.

Does it blow out at high RPM? Or when you first take off?

Are you trimming down as you take your foot off the gas? Depending on the motor/boat configuration, you may have too much positive trim as you are slowing and that is causing the prop to lose bite. My Ranger was terrible about doing it.

I would say the plate is to high. Even though you have plenty of water pressure I would drop the plate to 3.25 and try there and see what happens.

Im running a 14.5 x25p temptest plus on my merc 150 efi... good hole shot an good top end GPS its runnning 65.4 at WOT.. The only time its blown out with me if i was doing a tight turn with the motor trimmed all the way up... Did you measure to see where the motor was with out the jack plate below pad? You could call triton an see how many inches below pad they reccommend

Thats the right prop for that boat and motor. I would have the tach checked. When you said in your 1st post I put a jackplate on it and eliminated chinewalk and now blowing out, all that happened is you lifted the motor so high that your getting more slip instead of bite. Thats how the chinewalking went away ( less bite ) But you should be turning more rpms. You also said it did it before the jackplate but not as bad. Makes me think you have some hook somewhere in the pad. I used to have the same boat with a merc 150 efi. Triton Mike used to have one also. Mine would run 65 gps tournament loaded and it was a handful to drive. But if it is not walking it's not running. I've setup hundreds of boats and would be more than willing to meet you at the lake sometime to look at it and help you with the setup.
