Thanks for all the info guys, I will drop it down some and start fighting it again. matt I will be happy to go to the lake with you and bring my wrenches and sockets. You shouldn't have to "fight it" Earl Bentz didn't build a boat that he intended for you to have to fight. There is a sweet spot and you just have to find it. The compromise may mean going to a longer raked prop like the Tempest. That being said, what you may want to do is borrow a Tempest from somebody and try it on your boat before changing anything at all. If it works then start shopping for a trade or buy a Tempest.

My Strato had a walking problem with the Johnson 175 with the Raker Prop. I changed to the Tempus plus and it stopped. My Tempus insert broke on me a couple of weeks ago so I put the Raker back on temperately and the Chime Walk came back. I think the Tempus Plus prop with correct hole plugs is a lot better prop than the Raker.

Thanks for all the info guys. I am going to try to find a tempest prop and try that. I lowered the motor to 3.25 below pad and its still blowing out in turns fixed the other problems but now its back to walking. I will try another prop and go from there.

Are you triming down when you turn the boat? The tempest will run better than a raker.

Try to do some research an see if you need one Criz, I believe his splines are the same size. the question is the hub diameter. If I am right, the Rude has a small diameter hub. If your's is the small diameter and you have the thrust washer it may work.

he will have to have the hub kit to put it on the johnson. Plus the 25 pitch is to big for that boat and motor. You need a 23 pitch. Cheif has a 23 tempest with the right hub on his boat i'm sure if you asked he would let you run it.
