Hello everyone. My name is Shannon King and I live in Branson, MO. I joined this forum to hopefully learn more about the Float N Fly techique. I mostly fish on Table Rock and Bull Shoals Lake.

Welcome! I was on Table Rock last summer - went with my best friend. We rented a boat and found out very soon that we didn't know squat about the lake. We decided to fish the river for trout - which is the best decision we made that trip as we both limited out on trout for the next three days and the last one I caught was a 3.2 lb rainbow. We hope to go back this summer as well.

Nitro, Table Rock can be tough in the summer time. Your two best bets are a drop shot deep (30' to 60') for spotted bass or run up the rivers and throw a square bill crank. I prefer the square bill during the hottest part of the summer in some of the skinnest water you can find up the rivers. You will not catch as many up the river but they are usually quality fish. ;D Next time you come up give me a holler and we will do a little fishing.

Thanks for the info......I gotta tell ya, we weren't even close to fishing that depth....just goes to show you what lack of lake info can do to you....but, I had a heck of a good time on the river with the trout. Thanks for the invite!

You should throw them to the smallies too, that was what the technique was first developed for many years ago in Middle Tennessee! Welcome to the nuthouse!

Welcome to the board 518. I used to know someone that guided on Lake Norman, while I lived in Charlotte. I think his name was Jim Eads, have you ever heard of him?
