Is there a trick to pulling the gas tank out of the splash well of a 94 Astro S-18B? I have been trying all afternoon to get my tank out so that I can fix a leak in the live well lines and can't get it out of the way to get to the L-joint at the bottom of my live-well?
Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Specs: 32 gal tank just barely narrower than the splash well opening however there are 2 diagonal beams coming down from the transom that seem to be impeding my ability to line the tank up to get it out of there.
I am wondering if I just need a second set of hands on one side the line it up or if it just isn't feasible. If it will not come out, how does one get in there to work on the Live-well?

hope its not like some of the older bullets. you have to cut the fiberglass to get those bad boys out. crazy why they make some tanks so hard to get out.

I think I would cut the tank out before I compromised my fiberglass.

Well, I was out taking pictures and started fanigiling with the tank some more.
Here is what is required to get the tank out: make sure all hoses, wires, and whatnot are removed and out of the way. bust, scrap and otherwise mangle your hands and arms then the tank just seems to float out on it's own.
All leaks have been fixed in the live-well system and the tanks has been replaced.

Maybe this will help catch fish! It will keep me from sinking while trying to catch fish. It seems to be helping me catch fish since I am not worried about checking my splash well I get more casts in a day.
