Ladies and gentlemen,

Attached is a picture of Illinois Creek on Lake Allatoona. And let me warn you ahead of time, It is not pretty.















For those of you who are frequent visitors to Lake Allatoona, Illinois Creek has been known as "party cove". And now its showing.
Regardless of finger pointing and blaming one group over another, We need to be good stewards and take care of what a higher power has left us.
Allatoonabass.com, along side the COE and possibly the Boy Scouts of America, are planning a Clean up day for Illinois Creek.

If you are interested in helping out and restoring Illinois Creek to a pristine state please let us know by posting here.

A firm date has not been set as of this post but we are looking at sometime after Christmas, possibly after the First of the Year.

Your time is needed and greatly appreciated.

I would be glad to help out, and can wrangle the family along for this one too. When we were back in clear creek, we pulled a BUNCH of trash out of there. Irritates me to see the lake in such bad shape.

My neighborhood does a clean up at stamp creek every year and you would not believe the trash we pick up... It's Sad

Danny, Thanks for spearheading this project. Here are even more photo's. I tell you now that I think about how many cans I have caught on spoons and dropshot over the years I don't think we have seen nothing yet. I caught a vintage 1965 coke can once on a spoon.
