Today I weighed-in a solid white crappie from Allatoona, that may become the new lake record. The significance of this...................it was caught from a tree toppled several years ago by volunteers of this very program. The angler said he routinely targets these trees for crappie and said he felt it was "really a great program" for Allatoona.
Anyone else have a postive fishing experience or program observation they'd like to add to this thread?

What did it weigh and where was it caught??? I'd like to know if I cut the tree or not. It was a solid 1.6 pounds and 15 inches, but since there is currently no lake record for white crappie it's a good starting point. Now I can't give away a mans fishing hole .

I know it's not a Bucca fish but this was off some northern trees. What I have been noticing over the last several month's is the heads are starting to get some meat on them. This fish tipped the scales at 4 pounds not real long but fat (not spawning fat either). Happy to see this program working. Sean
