I've got a Motorguide 70lb thrust on the front of my boat. From what I can tell, it also has the "upgraded" rubber grommets (?) in the housing surrounding the shaft. It seems after an hour or so of use, I always have to stop and pull the shaft up as it gradually works it way all the way down into the housing. I tried putting a few extra washers on the stud that tightens it, tightened as much as I could, but it will still slip down after awhile. Anyone got a fix for this? Thanks!

Never heard of this problem... give Denny Smith a call at Marine Specialty House in Riverdale,, His number is 770-996-9014, he is a authorized Motorguide repair shop. If you have to take it to him dont worry he wont sit on it,,,he is real good about getting them back out.
