Hi everybody,
My name is Kurt and I was born and raised in the Grand Rapids, MI area, and I will be moving to Kennesaw in August for work.
I've been fishing my whole life, but recently its turned from part time hobby to full time hobby. I'm really excited I found this forum, and hopefully I'll be able to learn about some of the local lakes and hopefully find some new fishing buddies!
I'm also excited about a longer bass fishing season and hopefully some larger southern bass!
-Kurt

Welcome to the forum Kurt! This is an excellent place to find out about several of the lakes around here. The guys on the forum are very good at giving advise, and reporting on what they did to catch them. Alot of good information. Glad to have you on the board!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, I really appreciate it. It's going to be a little weird leaving all my family and all of the friends I've gained over the years for a place where I know only two people. But it sounds like you guys will be able to help me find my way around the local waters, and I'm definitely looking forward to meeting you guys in person. I guess I should tell you guys a little more about myself. I'm kind of a water nut, I enjoy everything about being in or around water. I obviously love fishing and I usually fish from a kayak or shore, but I also do a lot of snorkeling and underwater photography and videography. In fact, I usually will snorkel and freedive some of my fishing locations to research the structure and fish behaviors before my line hits the water. I've been snorkeling local waters for most of my life, but just this past spring I've focused on filming underwater, I don't have very high end film equipment, but so far it work well enough for me. Here is a link to my YouTube channel with my underwater videos: www.youtube.com/user/krtismo#p/uI'm also an avid freshwater aquarium keeper, I even work part time at one of the local fish stores. Last year I had as many as 13 aquariums but I got married in August and moved to an apartment so now I'm down to just one. Here is a video of my current 55g Planted Tank: Thanks again for having me! -Kurt Sills
