I'm always looking for a new local place to eat... Here are some of my favorites.
1. Henrys in downtown Acworth (Thanks Scott!) Awesome Cajun food. Crawfish, Etoufee, gumbo, Jambalaya 2. Best mexican food in town is that little mexican place in front of HobbytownUSA off of barrett pkwy. Name escapes me 3. Burgers, wings. Love Beef O'Bradys. Shame they closed down off hwy 41
What are some of your favorites?

The Fruit Jar Cafe, right beside Wendy's on SPUR 20 as you turn to go down to Gatewood. Norm grew up about 15 miles from where I grew up down in Southeast Texas. He fashioned the restaurant after a few of our more famous home grown eateries down there. There are no frozen or canned foods served at the Fruit Jar, it's all fresh. Best chicken Fried Steak in the area, and the Bean Bar always has fresh pintos, Butter Beans and Ranch Style beans, complete with fresh diced onions to put on them. Just about every home cooked meal you can remember is available plus daily specials Monday through Thursday. The cokes, water and Iced Tea is served in Mason Fruit Jars (with handles of course), and there is Blue Bell ice cream there for desert or any number of fresh cooked pies!! If you get too full Norm or someone will take you to the car in the Fruit Jar Taxi (a big old yellow wheelbarrow!)
Believe it or not, it's reasonably priced so you can feed the whole family!
