I order a new prop hub assembly for my boat, but I'm not sure what I got is right?? When I took the prop off it has a rubber piece inside of it but the hub repair kit is plastic and smaller. Is this because it goes inside of the rubber piece? I know it has to be pressed in/out. and what way does it go out front or back?

There are some props made by Mercury and Michigan Wheel, to name a few, for which there are hub kits for virtually any brand of outboard engine. Those consist of a plastic insert with the appropriate splines with hardware to hold everything in place. Is it possible that's what you received?

Yeah that's what I got. I had to send it back and I'm just going to have to save up for a new prop. Till then the mechanic I spoke to did a VERY temporary fix.

Fletcher You may want to keep your eye on ebay. I was able to get my last prop on ebay for 71 dollars. Just food for thought.

Have been Ray, but even the one I found on line for $60 is to much.
