North Georgia trout fishing

Haven't been trout fishing in N. GA, but the high temps were making it REAL tough on the hatchery trout in northern NC. Almost no activity. Have to get a really, really small piece of nightcrawler, and practically bounce it off their head to get them to eat. The water was so hot, that they wouldn't move, and probably couldn't digest much.
We were afraid the GA trout musta faced the same problem. Hope yall are doing better than we.

Hello Fellow Trouters---Please don't let T-Mike fool you--I'm not a expert by any touch of the imagination---I just got into ''trout fishing this spring----I fish the Blue Ridge Area mostly as my wife has access to a cabin in the area----Toccoa River is my best spots from the dam down river---excellent for fly rod and wading or float fishing----
I use a spinner with a casting float and dropper flys--also I use bait too--corn--Berkley trout bait --meal worms--All will work

So Far I'm a bank Fisherman---am going to waders pretty soon---

I am going up there Sun and spend a week trying out different streams----
One word of warning ---be sure and check release times at rhe dam----

Hello Acebarker---I've been to CS a couple times fishing from the bank and got a few each time--not much room to fish from the bank-- Got to get set up with waders---

I'm with you, I'm thinking of getting some waders myself. I have been to the Chattahoochee a few times around Morgan Falls and there is lots of room on the bank but the river is so wide that you really can't cover much water without getting in it. I don't know how to fly fish yet so I have just been spin fishing for bass with a little success. I have been hearing about the delayed harvest being awesome so I'm looking forward to that.

Thanks guys. I always go to the tocca and a couple of secret places in oct. One time 2 years ago we were fishing on copper creek in late oct. and there was 30+ brown trout schooled up. We only caught about 25 on powerbait, crickets, corn,and roster tails.
