There are several that frequent the lake and have a nest at the lake. One of those nests is just to the South of the mouth of Clear Creek.

I've seen one or two over the last couple of years, but I have seen more on Carters. I believe they 'winter' over down here then go back up north.

There is on nest on a point South of little river mouth, that has a nesting pair on it every spring. I have seen other Eagles on other parts of the lake too.

They used to hack them from here. Their hacking tower was near Linemans Cove

My family were out at Clear Creek this last weekend and couldn't believe our eyes. We saw the beautiful eagle and watched him for quite some time from our boat. He/she finally flew down and grabbed a fish from the lake and disappeared only to reappear a few minutes later to circle above the trees. We were so excited to see such a site.

I've seen the eagle's nest by the little river mouth, it was cool lived in GA my whole life and I think it was the first time I can remember seeing a bald eagle

I was going to mention the ones in Little River as well. Last year there was a pair that showed up in Clark. That's the first time I've seen them back there. Hopefully they will be back again this year. It really is a cool sight to see.

I saw one in a cove up behind Coopers Branch, back in early fall, there were some crows chasing it trying to get the huge fish it had caught away from it.
