What type & brand of spoon do you use

Those of you using spoons, what type and brand, weight size, ect do you find works better. I have used the sidewinder, hopkins shorty, buckshot, and dare devil imp in fall. Use for both hybrids and spots.

1kicker, I use the same spoon HRUS uses. Homemade spoon from the Do-it mold. Cheap and easy. Not sure it matters much but I like the 1/2 and 3/4 oz spoons. Most of the time I am fishing solid white.

Flexits when ever I use a spoon. It's the only one that I have ever caught fish on. But I never knew what I was doing till I got edgeumacated by the guys posting on these boards.

I've not fished spoons yet, but after seeing Mike's post going to have to try some . Do you fish them Bare or tip them with Plastic or Bait?? Just learnin...

I have a few types in my box but 99.99% I just use the simple homemade spoons (2 types). For a starter, stick with one (such as 0.6 oz flex-it at the Dug-out) until you are more comfortable with spoon and then play around with other types if so desired. There are so many out there.

"A little Story" in my younger days growing up in Florida the shoe stores would always give you one of those bright shiny shoe horns when you bought shoes. I would always cut the bend off the top of it and file it smooth. Then drill a hole at the top and bottom of it and put a ring in the top hole for the line and a ring in the bottom hole for a treble hook. Then go to Sebastian Inlet and tear up the Blue's. Best Blue's spoon I ever had, I might just try and find one of those old shoe horns and try it on the ole Dead Sea, who knows it might fool one of those big ole white fish.

Guys, I would do what Hrus said. Get a flext it and fish it just like it is right out of the package. The dugout does sell the flex it spoons.

I ain't got a clue about the shoe horn Ray LOL. BTW THANK YOU for taking the bull by the horns with our tree cutting project. I nominate you for team leader of the year .
