Hi guys,
Would any of y'all have any idea why my primer bulb collapses when I try to run down the lake? I have no venting problems. It'll run/idle but, when take off, it'll run for awhile and then cuts out because the bulb is flat and I have to wait for it to expand before it will start again..... pretty frustrating.
Thx, Keith

Check the fuel pump diaphram. I've seen a hole in the fuel pump cause the bulb not to hold a prime.

If it ain't the fuel Pump Diaphram(sounds like he is correct though), replace the fuel pump bulb-about 12.00-14.00 at Wally world.

Mo that was going to be the next thing I suggested if it wasn't the pump. The check valve in the ball may be bad also.

Is the check valve upstream or downstream of the bulb? My memory circuit ain't working well right now! LOL Another thing to check is the vent on the tank (around the fill hole) may be clogged with something also, but more than likely it is the squeeze bulb.
