After about 2 hrs of sleep I got out and caught some bait hoping to put a friend of mine on some fish. Picked him up at 6am, full of bait and plenty of time to kill. We decided to check a few more spots on the way to our first stop to see if we could figure out the pattern on bait, but no luck. We found a few here or there, but nothing like what I found earlier in the morning. The morning ended up being pretty slow for us, more fish coming later in the morning vs early. First stop, 1 hybrid at bartow. Second stop near clear creek, another hybrid, a white, and a spot. Third stop at stamp creek another white. And finally a triple of hybrids at kellogg to wrap-up the day. The triple came at about 1230, so if you are using trout, seems like you might as well sleep in a bit. I dont think we caught a fish before 830. Hope the next time out the weather will be a little nicer and fish a little hungrier. Here are a few pics of the fish and a few screen shots. Can anyone tell me what the dark spot is on the lst two pics? I took them around kellogg - is that just a drop-off to the channel?

nice catch of whites.. all the fish were live bait fish?
the last 2 pic i think your right.. i think its a small cut out or channel. the bottom pic looks like it has a brushpile there. someone on here that has si and uses it alot could tell you. mike would be probably the best to tell you and respond the fastest to this posting.

The dark streak on the left side of the side imaging display of the last 2 screen shots appear to be the shaded side of a ridge line of rocks. Or at least that is my interpetation and I'm sticking to it until Mike or someone with more knowledge prooves me wrong.

all fish came on live bait - most on shad, but one on smal trout. 1 on freeline and others between 28 - 50ft deep
on the screen shots - i was at mouth of owl creek. bow of boat facing euther facing main lake with preachers point on right, within 40 yrds of shore or bow was perpendicular to preachers point. I've seen this a few time in same area, next time need to mark it and motor over to it
