It would be tossed around like a toy on open water but not to bad up the creeks. You could fish open water areas but make sure you have on life jackets and have a throw cushion and make sure you are seen. There are some big boats on the water especially during that time of year. They can sink a good size bass boat because they like to plow through the water with no regard for other boaters on the water. Back of coves or protected water from open and main lake areas are your best and safest bet. What and where ever you decide just be careful.

If you are careful you should be okay. There are some big boats out there, but if you fish early you will be off the water before most get out there. When i first moved here i sold my 14ft thinking it was too small for the lake so went 5 yrs with no boat until i bought a pontoon 3 yrs ago. Once i got on the lake, i realized i could have definely fished it out of the 14 ft flat boat. But like the post above said, be careful and be on the lookout for idiots

I would not hesitate to fish out of this boat but would practice good safety habits.
