Hello all. Just figured I would stop by and introduce myself. My name is Allen Schurdell and I just recently moved to Acworth to the Sable Trace Sub-Division. I moved with my wife down to Georgia due to my relocation with work. I work for Norfolk Southern and they decided to close our building down in Roanoke, VA and move us to Atlanta. Due to the move I haven't been able to get out and fish as much this summer as I usually do which makes it tough. We are now settling in here and hopefully I will get the chance to start going out and doing some fishing. I was able to get out a couple times this past weekend which was the first time my boat has been on the water since the first week of June. Even though I didn't catch much it was nice to get out and at least get a line wet. I went out of Lanier the first day out for a few hours before the pleasure boaters got ridiculous and my wife wasn't liking it so well. So we decided to head on home. We went on Monday to Allatoona for a few hours and basically had the lake to our selves most of the morning where I was at. Didn't catch much but again I just enjoyed being out. I plan on going out some evening here soon and hopefully on my off days I can get back out and get back in the groove of fishing. I only live a few minutes from the Kellogg Creek boat ramp so I will plan on putting in there the majority of the time.
The majority of the time I end up fishing by myself so if anyone would ever like to go just shoot me a message. I have a Triton 20x2 which makes for a lot of extra space when going by myself. If anybody has any info that they would like to share about the Acworth area or fishing on Allatoona please feel free to message me. I'm always up for guidance/advice that anyone would like to share.
Also, if anyone knows of any clubs that fish mainly on Sundays that would be great. I'm hoping my schedule will be changing in a few weeks so that I can fish more tournaments on Saturdays but for right now I have Sunday's and Monday's off.
Again, just wanted to reach out and say hello and introduce myself.
Thanks
