Results of May 9th Cutting.

Today Bfriendly (Bruce Miller) led a tree cutting expedition and I joined in to help out a little myself. Bruce and I joined up with Bill Durham and Rally73Sport (Sean) at 9:00 this morning and cut till about 1:00PM. I had a great time today and enjoyed the company. We cut 16 trees at Area 36 then 36 trees from Area 35 and finished up with another 18 trees in the water at Area 37, for a total of 70 trees cut for the day. Not bad at all for a 4 man team. Everything went real smooth and the majority of the trees stay well attached to the stump without breaking out. Those that did break free were secured with the new wire cable which has 7000 lbs breaking strength, then lag bolted and stapled. That makes for a total of 331 trees that have been cut so far this year.

I have not participated in a tree cutting as yet but I sure do want to thank all of you that have. I also want to thank who ever the officials are at the Corp/DNR or where ever they are for the project. I know nuttin' 'bout nuttin' but it sure seems to me the hard work will pay off for years and years. THANKS ALL!!!!

Your welcome Jeff. Actually it has not been as hard as you think. Today was my third time this year and the stress relief is great. Hopefully you can make it to one and see first hand how much fun it is.
